Filtration is a way that make pressure difference on both sides of filter cloth or other porous filter medium to separate the liquid and solid two-phase by the filter medium entrapping solid particles in filter pulp. And vacuum filtration is the way that make pressure difference (usually from 4.9x104 Pa to 6.68 x104 Pa) between vacuum source of filter medium and filter pulp atmospheric.Vacuum filters are widely used in metallurgy, mining, coal,chemical, building materials, agriculture, light industry, and other related industries, besides they are also widely used in laboratories of colleges or research institutes and pilot plant for continuous or intermittent filtration work. Working principle of ceramic filter

Ceramic filter is a high-tech solid-liquid separation product. It is based on principle of capillary action and combined with ceramic technology, with the advantages of high filter efficiency, low production cost, energy saving, clean and environment friendly etc. It is mainly composed of roller system, stirring system, feeding and discharging system, vacuum system, filtrate discharge system, scraping system, washing system, combined cleaning ( ultrasonic cleaning, automatic mixing acid cleaning) system, automatic control system, tank, and base frame etc. Ceramic filter system has been widely used in dewatering of concentrate and tailings sush as mine of nonferrous metal, rare metal, ferrous metal and nonmetal,dewatering of chemical industry oxide, electrolytic residues, slags, and treatment of sewage, sludge and waste acid. Particle size of materials ranges from -200 to -450 mesh and a variety of superfine material. Vacuum system is composed of vacuum pump, separator and pipes. The pump operates to form vacuum in liquid discharging tank; pipes are connection of the tank and ceramic filter plate through distributor; the solids are adsorbed onto the surface of filter plate, and filtrate sucked into the tank.
